Where to stand at Oulton Park?

Toby, Loads of good angles at Oulton Park. Druids is a great spot for the morning, with a wide variety of shots from head on / 3/4 through to side on panning. There's a nice low fence and plenty of options in a relatively short space. Knickerbrook (in the afternoon) is also another great...

Croft Circuit good for Motorsport Virgin?

In addition to the links I posted on the Sony thread, if you’re shooting out at 600mm you can get the attached at the chicane (easier now they’ve removed an old tree), a nice shot through the fence looking up the start / finish straight and some nice group shots at the exit of Sunny.

The Amazing Sony A7 / A9 / Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Your welcome Ant (y). Hope you have a great time if you end up going. I'll be the one with a hyper Pirtek BMW supporting 7 year old if you make it up there :LOL: Simon.

The Amazing Sony A7 / A9 / Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Hi Ant, I know Croft very well, living only 15 minutes or so from the circuit. Superb circuit for photography IMHO. It will be busy even on Saturday, but unlikely to be so busy it’s difficult to get good shots. Focal length wise, you can use anything from 24mm upwards depending on how creative...

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

This blog post from him explains all: - https://www.andyrouse.co.uk/index.php?eb=1&id=109 He is very clear that he is not an ambassador for Olympus or being paid by them. Cheers, Simon.

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

Not being funny, but if it was your first time panning, then your technique will be just as responsible (if not more) then your camera for blurry results......

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

I did Keith, yes and have gone back to m4/3. Couldn’t fault the IQ at all, but I have a degenerative back problem and the weight was causing me more and more issues. I totally underestimated the weight of the overall system and how my back would react, and found I was taking it out less and less...

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

I have (see post #1081 above) and found it to be pretty woeful to be honest. Canons implementation of a blackout free EVF is also pretty rubbish and just about unusable in my experience. Simon.

    BTCC at Thruxton (pic heavy)

I only live 20 minutes from Croft, so it is very much my local circuit, and I'll be there for the full BTCC weekend :-) I'm hoping to get down to OP for the BTCC quali day this year. However, life might be about to throw me a curve ball, so I'm by no means certain I'll get there :-( Simon.
