Have you tried using a "contrast mask" to adjust both the highlights and mid-tones? perhaps like this?
Also I have removed the very slight Magenta cast.

BTW it was a very pleasing shot to start with before we started "mucking about!"
They were actually growing out of the harbour wall in several places, I thought that really quaint!
(and I might have got into trouble if I cut 'em! chuckle!)
