I'm off to Thailand on Saturday for 3 weeks..... Will be taking my Zfc + 24-70 f4S and my Df ... I keep a couple of F-mount lenses at our house over there so don't need to take any more with me. I also have a tripod there.

Ouch.... in 21 years of flying long-haul, which for me involves connecting flights, I've never had checked-in luggage miss a connection. I fly from Manchester, but have also flown from Newcastle with Emirates and Edinburgh with Qatar.

I fly with Qatar twice a year and have never had the 7kg limit enforced. Previously I used a camera backpack as carry on but nowadays I take a cabin sized case and a shoulder camera bag as my carry on..... Sometimes they'll weigh the case, but I've never had the camera bag weight checked.

I've just checked my Humax box and Channel 5 is working fine. I dumped Sky earlier this year and picked up a Humax HDR-1100S.... Even though it hasn't got certain channels in HD, Film4 being one of them,, I'm more than impressed with the SD quality it outputs when watching Film4. My TV has...

The Hunt For Red October and Event Horizon are the two films he starred in which I like watching. RIP...

I have a 16 year old Panasonic LCD.... Picture quality is great and see no reason to update it to a 4K one. It's a Freesat one too. Having recently dumped Sky I picked up a Freesat PVR. For our house in Thailand I bought a 55" Samsung QLED 4K TV and got a great deal on it. I've just recently...

My mum is 95 and she really struggled with a touchscreen mobile, but she is able to manage with a Doro mobile with a proper keypad.

Mosquito/fly zapper I bought some of these to use in our house in Thailand a couple of years ago and they are quite effective and they're effective on more than just mosquitos . I now use one in the UK as well....

I wear sandals 365 days a year and even when it's snowing. After many years of buying Slazenger and Dunlop I switched to buying Karrimor Antibes and have found them to be much more durable and longer lasting.... I also occasionally use Crocs.

I'm West Cumbrian and I'm a Town fan and have been since I was a kid.... One of my prize possessions is a photo of my mother, grandmother, grandfather and uncle with Gus Risman and the Challenge Cup on the way back from Wembley when Town won it back in 52....

I The only sport I watch, Rugby League, is available via a streaming subscription which is a lot cheaper than paying for Sky Sports . Haven't had Sky Cinema for years.... I have a decent collection of DVD's and Blu-rays if I feel like watching a movie.
