Alastair you are correct. I am just not sure which cable that is. C1 seems to be a 3.5mm jack and C3 fits in the front of other models. I am going to get to the bottom of this haha

Looks like they do not work as remote shuttle controllers on the 550d as I can only find them with either a 3.5mm jack or a C3??
