    Is this Jupiter?

I think Julpiter is one of the brightest things in the sky and it looks like there are four moons in the shot, I think you might be right.

Nuthatch, where to go for a shot

Bittell Reservoirs, not far from you. I can guarantee several along the bridleway between the upper and lower reservoirs. I have been feeding them for over a month now and can sit and watch them for hours.

Did anyone else see the orange lights?!!

    Neither can I, if I didn't know better I'd say it's a wind up.

    please help, injured bird

Sparrowhawk, give it somewhere peaceful and it should recover. Shock is this birds worst enemy which it seems to be getting over.

    IS or Fast Lens

I would have thought for landscapes/cityscapes a tripod would be employed so IS is not a necessity. The 18-55mm IS has some outstanding reviews so it's what I would go for over a nifty fifty every time.

Whooper, Greylag, Wood Duck, Pigeon and some babies

I think your Little Grebe is either a female Wood duck or possible female Mandarin.

    Shutter Count - Canon 50D

Are you sure the exe file is in the eos utility? there are two folders and if you drill down far enough the program should work.
