I've read that the 17-55 2.8 is an awesome lens but the comparisons on thedigitalpicture.com don't match up. ?

Hi I have a 7D and use a 70-200 f2.8 II (which is awesome). I've never had much luck in finding a lens to compliment. I have a 15-85 which is ok but it's not fast enough - recommendations? I've tried a 24-105 and wasn't blown away by it. Thanks
