Pixma 9000 MkII or 9500 MkII?

Thanks Poah I'll check it out. Do you know though how their ink compares to the PermaJet K-Chrome stuff? It looks like they also have a special on. Cheers.

Pixma 9000 MkII or 9500 MkII?

Thanks for the feedback guys... yes you could rig up something I guess to feed the paper, but I'm not sure that's quite what I want to do. I will probably go for the Epson R2880 and later get a PermaJet CIS as they advertise having the K3 pigment ink. Cheers, Damon.

Pixma 9000 MkII or 9500 MkII?

I was actually thinking of the Epson R2880 and the main reason I went off the Canon is that is past experiences I have always found it hard to calibrate screen to Canon output and it has always been easier with Epson. Having said that I haven't purchased the 2880 yet, so would be happy to be...

Need advice on slot-in filters please

Thanks guys. It looks like I'll go for the cheaper Cokin P holder and adapters with the Hitech filters. A good combo without shelling out too much for the Lees. Cheers. :)

    ND Grads

Hey Martin, With the Cokin P holder (I assume this is the wide angle holder you bought) do you have any idea of how wide I could go with a Canon 10-22 before seeing vignetting. Just wondering whether to go for the Z holder or not:thinking: ... otherwise I think I'll be making the same...

Need advice on slot-in filters please

Were these the soft or hard grad filters? Also do you know if they would fit in a Cokin P holder? Cheers.

    Travel tripods

What about this Giottos GTMT 9340B 4 section travel tripod? I was thinking of buying one for an upcoming trip to Australia. Maybe partnering it with the Manfrotto 486RC2 ball head for a little extra stability or Giottos MH7001-652. I was concerned over the 4 section legs though and the stability...

    Night time exposures...

Yea... just make sure you're fully charged and/or have a battery grip. :D

    Night time exposures...

Normally a shave below infinity. If you're shooting for star trails at around F22 then that's ok, if there's going to be some foreground subject matter or a wider ap then take a torch and focus on the subject. :)

    Night time exposures...

With the clear nights I've been experimenting with long exposures. 6 minutes was just starting to get me some good star trails. Not a fantastic picture and too much sodium lighting, but you get the idea. In this I've found the pole start so next time will be at about F22 for 17mins.

Why not just 7-10 working days. Seems fine to me.

    Your Photoblogs - LINKS

Great site - just a typo I noticed on a few pages - "Dispatched in 7-10 days working days" ... sorry but it's good to get these things right - I know I'd like it if someone told me! :)

    Jpeg Export Settings

I would always backup using full sized JPEG's, but only if I didn't have the space to back up the RAW and sidecar file from Lightroom.
