Ouch! I can see your worry now :) I tend to use a board in a light tent in the middle of a table, with paper backgrounds, so if things topple off the board, they only roll onto the table. Sensible precaution for me as I am a bit clumsy :)

Yes, spot on Mark, I didn't want the base cutting any further into the bowl of the cup, as it is very shallow & delicate & it would have taken away from it somehow, if you know what I mean. Thanks for the comment.

Thank you, I sometimes like a bit of lower contrast softer images, but these I wanted as really sharp detail images.

Hi Just in a light tent in my conservatory with a piece of black card behind, so natural light & then just a case of adjusting the exposure to get the background an even black.

I used a Canon 100mm f2.8 macro.

I do spend ages looking round the flower bed & garden centres for flowers :)
