.. plays with your camera and takes a better picture than you :help: DSC_0800 by James Crump, on Flickr Do you guys believe that having a good eye for a photo is natural, or is it something that can be taught?

First 2 trips with my new DSLR (Venice/Majorca)

On my D3300 I cannot find away of setting it up so I don't have to re-set it up every time. Plus I need all gear, so I at least look like I know what I am doing ;)

    Wreck

As a complete novice I prefer the HDR version, I like the vivid colours and sharp detail in the both the highlights and shadows, it keeps me searching your picture for more. However I would like to see it slightly less contract and brightness towards the left hand side of the image if possible...

    Some NYC Snaps

I like the balloon man image. Great shallow DoF. I really need to work on getting that kind of shot right!

Critique Another discovery on the way to work

My eyes are struggling to pick up the detail a little as its heavily back lit. However I love the head of teh prominent sun flower. Because of the different levels of light coming through the petals, it almost looks as if the head of the flower is spinning.

    Critique Headstone Tunnel

I prefer the colour version. Except the blueish tint from the light behind the people, and from the lights above their heads. Great picture of the dog. He looks very friendly :P

First 2 trips with my new DSLR (Venice/Majorca)

Thanks all, I appreciate the feedback. I have now got a hand-me-down tripod, a have got myself a few filters, including an ND filter on the way and I am treating my self to shutter trigger. looking forward to getting some more interesting shots going forward.

Critique Bluebell wood on the way to work

Nice shots, I prefer the non bokeh version as I think the foreground is a little busy for my eyes to focus on. I is such a shame the sun wasn't shininghtly brig as I think a little more contrast would have been beautiful.

Hi Everybody, My first post so be gentle. The pictures below are from my first couple of outings with my new toy, and have all been taken without a tripod, just resting on any flat-ish surface. DSC_0011 by James Crump, on Flickr DSC_0396 by James Crump, on Flickr DSC_0330 by James Crump, on...

    Hi from Whitefield (North Manchester)

Hi all, I am brand new to digital photography after finally getting myself an entry level Nikon (D3300). I am hoping you will all be able to help me by ripping my pictures to shreds, as I think my photographer friend will get sick of my quite quickly :) Cheers in advance!
