Hard lock ups are usually to do with hardware and/or drivers, most likely the SSD or the memory. So I suggest running disk checker to scan for bad sectors, and use something like Memtest86 to check the memory. It probably happened in the browser simply because you use it most.

In case anyone is curious, you can control multiple PCs without having the Logitech kit, by using apps such as Mouse Without Borders, Barrier, Synergy, etc. It won't be as smooth as the Logitech one (because those are software rather than hardware), but it's more than OK for most people, except...

They will hear it, but vice versa you can hear them as well, which is useful if you have kids. I have the Philips Fidelio X2 and it's absolutely amazing. Best open back headphones under £100 in my opinion.
