    Nikon D7xxx owners thread

Grew tired of waiting for the direct D300 replacement and despite reseravtions about the D7100 buffer I purchased one at a very favourable price about 6 weeks ago - and Ive got to say I love the camera, the buffer is a non-issue (just goes to show that not all that you read on the net is true)...

    Decorators pole

Hello Im thinking of using a decorators pole to get some elevation in some shots - does anyone have any experience of these and what set up do you use. My thoughts are a telescopic decorators pole (say 3m) preferably push button release, mount a tripod head on the end of it (not sure how...

    Advice please for newbie

I belive the models you are looking at have autofocus on them, best bet is to go down to local camera shop and have a play with some of thier s/h cameras, if the price there is too much then ebay is you friend

Off to the loop......advice etc welcome!!

Sorry meant to say that the loop insnt in LFA7T. Exercises have tended to reduce traffic in the loop so as not to conflict with the exercise, and aircraft on exercise tend not to have a quick jolly around the loop. Doing low level work is brilliant if at times frustrating, the best advice...

Off to the loop......advice etc welcome!!

Now whilst not wanting to disappoint you, the loop is not in LFA7 & historically the loop goes quieter when exercises are on in LFA7. Also, its been getting quieter by the year, and this year is worse than ever.

Why would shops advise against a DSLR?

Cynically, I would say it may be down to trying to achieve certain targets or shift some stock. More charitably it coudl be thatthey listened to the customer and thier requirements and thought that what they wanted was not a DSLR

    Weddings: 2nd shooter question

Depends if you are doing it for your own experience building, if so then I wouldnt expect anything. If its as a bona fide second doing stuff that the main tog is unable to do and which he will use relatively extensively in the album then you shoudl be rewarded for your time and effort, so...

    Weddings

Couple of points Some wedding togs deliberately do some 'creative' stuff so as to define thier style - nothing wrong in that. But, most of the public cant tell the difference between a good pic and a great one, hence the rise in teh number of Uncle Bobs trying to get into wedding...
