A few reasons actually, I have a few Sb-600s and the Canon doesnt have built in flash which can be usefull sometimes when you dont want to carry a big flash gun with you, the Nikon CLS which the 5D MK2 doesnt have, I think!, The Af on the Nikon is much better and most importantly I'm a Nikon man ;)

Not cheap but if you buy it as a kit with the 5D MK2 you get the kit for £2299 and that makes it fairly cheap.
