Nikon D750 & D780

I have absolutely no idea. I like shiny new stuff. That's pretty much the top and bottom of it. I've said it before, i actually enjoy buying and selling more than photography.
Are you related to Twist? :p

 nah. I also want a Df. :exit:

TBH I'm not sure what is stronger, the Df GAS or D810 GAS?!
Both are due for updates. Save and buildup your GAS [emoji13][emoji13]

Fortunately for me, I reckon 36mp would cause my pc to grind to a halt with processing. let alone the stack of hard drives I`d need. 24 is ample imo for what I click at. I just need to get my glass sorted.

It's probably just wet weather GAS tbh.

I agree. I`m waiting for my Brands Hatch book thing to come through the letterbox so I can decide what to go see. But if the 810 only had 24mp it would be a totally different matter for me. Especially coming from a D300 and D700. I didn`t go 800 due to the 36.

And at only 16mp it will give your computer an easier time..

Haha true enough, but only 39 focus points, and a p poor spread at that.

The DF does look pretty :D
It does and feels nice holding one. Shot few frames with one at a Nikon event with the 24-70 2.8 VR.

Stop it right now ;)

Just saying it is a good camera that helps in slowing down and be more creative. 39 point AF is fine. Imagine DF with a 35 or 50 prime. [emoji1][emoji1]

I'm guessing if i ever did go the Df route then i would probably go with primes for full on hipster appearance.

What colour would you go for though? I rather like the silver one :) But black would probably work better with a new 58 prime (aesthetically speaking) ;)

Make sure you go a day before as they test most of the cars then, I all the BTCC shots on my page are from practice with free entry and the place is deserted. Wanted to get back up there but may be pushing it with 85 as my max focal length

What's people's thoughts on buying lenses from HDEW or Panamoz? I know a number of folk have bought cameras and been happy with the service, including warranty claims but what about lenses, are they covered by the same warranty? Any issues with resale, would they sell for less than UK equivalents and if so by how much roughly?

Both have the 24-120mm f4 for circa £460 and I'm tempted. Could sell my Olly 12-40mm which I think would fund most of it?

Have a look on eBay, there are grey lenses already in the UK for £430 eg. Richmond Cameras.

Generally they sell for £350-400 but with these new ones being so cheap I don't know if the price would go down?

Thanks, HDEW have stock in the UK too I believe.

True, bodies aside some of the lens prices aren't all that competitive (goes for Digital Rev too actually)
Agreed, but the 24-120mm is £460 is vs £640 ish on Amazon which is quite a saving IMO.

Some of those ebay sellers have been around for years as well though, and it's a few more quid in your pocket. Not sure I'd bother with HDEW for something like this if they are more expensive.

The reason I mentioned HDEW and Panamoz is that I've heard good things about warranty, stepping into the unknown with other sellers.

Can't stand the Df look

Hdew are good. Bought a few lenses from there in the past. All good, no issues.

Recently bought a Nikkor 16-35mm f4 VR from Panamoz, yes it's covered standard with a 3yr warranty. Great service from them, took four working days to arrive, excellent service, I'd buy from them again without a second thought.

Yeah I do tend to go to the practice days. Far less peeps getting in the way too (y)
85mm in the paddock will rock :D

I've never shot at Brands before but it's on my list to try and get to this year. A bit far for you guys but Oulton is a sweet track to shoot at. Going to do the BTCC there again this year so hopefully the D750 and 70-200 will perform well. Might pick up a 1.4x TC aswell.
