Not really sure how best to sum up this past year to be honest, it's been nothing short of amazing and I feel incredibly lucky that I've had these opportunities for work. It's been pretty varied work from HEMS operators to a CSAR unit, the flying has been unreal and at times a little stomach churning. Visited new countries, new cities and met some amazing people along the way creating some memories that will stay with me forever, from BBQs in Sweden to shooting a .50 cal from a Pave Hawk and finally logging over 100 hours of flight time whilst photographing.. Anyway I hope you enjoy the images, of which there are a lot so sorry!
I've shot a lot of images this year so I've just tried to pick some of my favourites, hope you enjoy them!
1. Bell 429 from Wiltshire Air Ambulance, currently the only HEMS operator in the UK flying the 429. Pictured here on the pad at Great Western Hospital, I had about five minutes to capture some shots after we had landed.

2. A brief two day visit to the Loop, somewhere I used to visit regularly in my early days.

4. Back to Wilts HEMS for a night flight and testing out the low light capabilities of the Sony A7sII and Batis 25mm

5. Used the same set-up for some images at LN whilst I was there organising few dates with the 56th RQS.

6. The most disgusting drive up to Lossiemouth to fly with the 56th RQS on the JW 16-1 exercise, I was there shooting images for Vertical Magazine for an upcoming feature in the year. Managed to come down with a sickness bug which made flying a little bit 'emotional' at times. Spent brass falling away from the Pave Hawk as the SMA releases a barrage of fire from the .50 cal.

7. Same as above but a different view this time!

8. The lower face masks makes for great portraits, it protects their lower face from flying debris in case anyone is interested!
