I used to enjoy shooting portrait, and still do every so often. Landscapes is my calling.
Anyway this is one from my archives, shot back in 2014 and is one of my better portraits.

Had a gander about your flickr. Landscapes may be your calling but you're pretty darn good at portraits too.

Not keen on the background, it adds nothing for me and isn't needed but the lighting on the model is superb. Nice work Mark.

Beautiful, just Beautiful.......but enough about the model, very nice portrait of a lovely redhead (my Favourit), very well lit. Background is a bit marmite but you work with what you've got.

with the above…

but a tad separation from the BG behind her head
would have given more presence to her red hair!

A lovely portrait nicely exposed but the copping off of the top of her head looks awkward to me.

If I remember rightly I thought the background would have blended out but the dam thing was reflective. I think I'll go back and re-edit it and tone out the BG.

I like the background, but it needs something similar on the right to balance it.

Thanks Simon, just had a look on you Flickr and thought I'd seen some of your work before. Then saw on here you're on PP and that's where I've seen it before, back when I was a member.
