Pre-flash on Godox tt350

Hi
I would expect the Manual mode on this flash to not have the pre-flash, but it does happen on mine.
I set the mode to M, set the power output, and when i take an image it releases a series of pre-flashes as if it was a ttl mode.
Any idea how to disable this?

Don't have mine to hand - but is there a chance it's because you have it on Master mode?
On wireless modes the flash might pre-flash as communication with slaves.

I will try this and report the outcome. What mode I should be to act an a simple on camera manual flash, without a pre-flash?

Not familiar with that particular model but in general the pre-flash, or more correctly multiple pre-flashes, are used to a) calculate exposure in TTL mode, and b) send control signals to other remote flash units in optical Master mode.

Thank you, but what is the mode i can expect to have no pre-flash in?

No, it doesn't. The TT350 only uses 2.4GHz radio when in Master mode.

The TT350 doesn't have optical Master mode.

My 270EX used to send out a few pre flashes, if i recall correctly this was because the camera was using the flash to achieve auto focus (Af Assist?) as the camera or flash didn't have the infrared (i think) light to do this in low light.

This was a while ago so my memory is fuzzy, but i'm sure it stopped when i disabled that setting. I have a tt350 now and haven't noticed this happening (used on camera with no other flashes).
