Chinese Water Deer at Sunrise

You are lucky to see these and a lovely shot, I like the OOF FG and OOF BG with that 1st light hitting the Deer. Where I live we have Boar (Never want to get within eyesight of them), Some Deer and some rabbits/Hares oh and if lucky a Pheasant but really here they are all thin on the ground.

Cheers Graham, f4 @500mm into a big field :)
I'd love to see Boar, one day I'll take a roadtrip to find some.

Lovely wildlife style capture Gav, liking this pic' very much.

I'd love to see Boar.
Only at 500mm and a bit more.
They are N A S T Y F******s if they catch you in their sight and give chase, they are very fast for a PIG

Cute faces eh Gav? Nice image.

I recall wild boar sitting whilst sitting in a gun pit in Germany. They are not lovely especially when they have the kids with them. II was well prepared to hit them with the LMG (sadly no bullets) but luckily never had to.

Thank you, they are.

Pigs are very protective of the young, I worked with them for a while, lovely beasts :)

Gav a little edit just my style of comp.
Hope you don't mind.
No problem at all, thank you for taking the time to edit (y)

For me, I think it feels a little tight above the beast, but I will have a look at trying another ratio crops/framing, it does change things a bit.

Thanks again.

I just found my eye being drawn to the lighter area at the top of the original image first then to the subject.
Also gave more space to move into and leveled the line from brown to green.
keep taking the great images Gav I enjoy viewing (y)
We all have different views and ideas.
The lads I go out with normally say mine are sh t. :D

 Mates can be harsh on each other :D

I can see what you mean about the top being a distraction, the wider frame does help with that.

I've learnt a lot from seeing/reading other peoples ideas, so I appreciate it (y)
