I read that it's the most-watched programme on streaming TV at the moment. Gary Oldman is just brilliant, the other actors are excellent, and the humour is so British I wonder how people in other countries are finding it. I also read that they've committed to seasons 4 and 5, and I can't wait! :D

spot on i just love his use of language as well, good swearing yeah it is defo a British program the yanks will not get it and the koreans well they will be very perplexed

I must take a look...

What format is it on ?

Gotta say cheers for this recommendation (y) pretty much binged the first 2 seasons over the past week - will more than likely begin season 3 tonight, love it.

i p***ed myself with the first two seasons , season 3 for me is a bit less edgy

I didn't find it to be 'laugh out loud' but I do appreciate the dark humour, Oldman is great and often carries scenes - season 2 , the new girl, was puzzling me where I'd seen her before - had to check up, she was in Detectorists, which was also decent and quirky in it's own right.

I'd never heard of it until this thread. Watched season 1 last week. A great change from some of the drivel that is on the regular channels. Absolutely loved the characters. Season 2 this week. Looking forward to it.

yeah it is very good indeed very non PC in places but still manages to keep it upright

There's definitely some funny scenes, but it's one of those that can swing from that lighter humour to very dark , very quickly - without giving spoilers, I think it's obvious which incidents I am referring to!

I have to re-watch through the finale of S2, put it on late last night and conked out half way through, woke up near end and didn't know what was going on :ROFLMAO: I'll skim through the start as reminder and watch from where I dropped out.

I love Slow Horses, I think it is more drama than comedy, as it can be very dark in places, but there are some laugh out loud moments, particularly from Gary Oldman. He looks like he really enjoys playing the character from the interviews I have seen.

I think up to now they have been filming two series back to back, so not too long to wait between series.

They have the first 20 mins of the first episode of series one on YT for anyone who wants to see what it's like. Watch the whole 20 mins, because you think it is one type of show for most of it, until it shows what it really is when Gary Oldman appears. ;)

I finished season 3 a few weeks back, great series - season 4 rumoured to be coming in November

I'm slowly watching series 1 at present, thoroughly enjoying it. I've found it to be good drama but not funny really as suggested by others. Some scenes have a good satirical humour, but maybe my history with this area of real life makes it less funny for me? Wry smiles in my case rather than laughter. It is damm good telly though, and between Masters of the Air, Trying, and this, it's been well worth subscribing to Apple TV.

Yes, we loved it. Waiting for season 4.
We enjoy a lot of British, Canadian and AUS shows (admit that occasionally with mumbling, we turn on captions).

For anybody loving the series (and I've not seen it but have been a fan of the books for years), the books appear to have dropped to 99p each for a limited time in kindle.

They are almost never discounted - I've bought at least 5 at full price. Just completed the set for 1.98.

Hmm must check what's going on with Zoe boem.....
