I really like the weather surface image - lots of texture - works really well.
 
Two effective images. I really like your Silence image - without using any obvious cues, you have captured the essence of the theme.
 
I like your weathered shot Mark, but I really like your silence shot.

Thank you! I was going for quietly surreal, some kind of bad dream, the fact that they are an odd subject to use direct hard flash on makes it quite unsettling. I was torn between that and the colour version, which I will post in a bit

I like the pop of the beaks, but for b&w edit just feels a bit stranger to me, What do you think?

I really like what the noise/grain brings to that, it really warms is up.
 
Thank you everyone, 1/4 mist filter adding the subtle glow around the lamps, makes all the difference I think!

LOL, Mr. Buckethead scarecrow, awesome! Not sure if that legs and arms are poseable or if it's the wind moving them, but I love the sense of movement as it "runs" across the field.

I didn’t pose him, he was flapping around in the wind and I took a dozen or shots, this was I think the only one that actually look plausible as a human! Shame the lighting was a bit full, might head back there again and reshoot it later in the evening.
