I really like the weather surface image - lots of texture - works really well.
 
Two effective images. I really like your Silence image - without using any obvious cues, you have captured the essence of the theme.

Thank you! I was going for quietly surreal, some kind of bad dream, the fact that they are an odd subject to use direct hard flash on makes it quite unsettling. I was torn between that and the colour version, which I will post in a bit
