How do I remove white dot from pix

I'm new to Photo Elements 2026. When I added a photo to it, a white dot appeared in the image and I can't seem to get rid of it. I get a message that the dot is in a hidden layer. Anybody encounter this problem? Any suggested solutions?

Look in the layers panel, If there is a hidden layer one of the layers will have an empty check box next to it. If you check that box an eye will appear in it and it is now unhidden. To get rid of it you can either drag the layer to the trash can icon in the bottom right of the layers section or right click on the layer and select 'delete layer'.
