Show us yer film shots then!

I think that after 14 years and 10 days since my last post I'd like to join in again if that's alright. I guess that at nearly 80 I should make more of an effort, especially as TP has given me so much one-way entertainment and very helpful information.

And it is film I'd like to start in as I "discovered" film and its mysteries about ten years ago. Before 2005 my only cameras had been PAS simply for recording places and people, with a film cassette to the chemist and prints back adorned with interesting comments about my lack of skill! So after a triple heart by-pass in 2005 I decided to take up photography as a hobby a lot more seriously and was persuaded by a Dixon salesman to buy the all singing all dancing new Sony a100. A university digital photography course and numerous photo workshops and I was hooked. Worked my way through the Sony A mount catalogue and then in to mirrorless to end up with today Sony’s a7CR and a7Cii with a bag full of G f4 lenses. And love it.

But when I started to explore Sony’s background and discovered Minolta I threw myself into film and home developing and it is still my favoured medium. My home developing workflow is for another post but here I’d like to show you my current workhorses with an example from each. (I only shoot black and white, ATM):

A few weeks ago I posted a photo of a National Testing Lab cerviscope camera, well here are some general macro photos from it shot on Gold 200. The system is remarkably well suited for its intended use. I have two of them in fact. One has the asset tag in the film gate the other does not.

Quite pleased with these results from a recently acquired cheap Kodak 66 Model II camera. It's got a four speed Vario shutter and apertures from f6.3 to f22, takes 120 film (rather than the usual 620 of its era), so it's quite versatile. The camera is in exceptional condition as well in its ER case.I can't remember what film I used, it's marked Ultra 100, anybody's guess.
