The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Visted Megaphonics 26 yesterday (a Porsche get together and show), usually I'd just take the Leica Q3 43 for an event like this, but this time I took the regular Q3 and the Fuji X-H2S+50-140mm as well (almost reaching @snerkler levels of FOMO) :ROFLMAO: . Pleased I took the Fuji, as despite the extra bag weight, it was really quite busy so it enabled a bit of subject isolation and alternative viewpoints.

The star of the show (for me) was the 1970 Porsche 917/10 built for Can Am Racing (%.4 litre Twin Turbocharged Flat 12, up to 1150bhp and only 800kg :) )

Loan T5 has turned up. I don't think it's the same one Toby borrowed, as it seems to be in pretty good condition. I was marvelling over how light it felt... then realised that it hadn't got a battery in :D
It's a lot more comfortable to hold without a grip than my T4. Buttons and dials all feel really nice, I like it a lot so far.

I'm sure given your shooting style the 23mm F2.8 pancake will be just fine is 99% of sceanrios - enjoy :)

I’m trying to enjoy the XT5 and not think about the X100.

Started working on a photography project so hoping to spend some quality time with the 23mm pancake (y)
 
@addicknchips , Jonathan you have free time during the working week to go for a walk, shocking….. but on the plus side you have a pretty wife who poses well ;)

Managed to work out how to get my new 23mm pancake to work with the front control dial adjusting the aperture (y)

Also, am pleased to report I can fit the XT5 in my Aer Day Sling with the pancake on the front, so I'm back to the same bag I was using with the X100VI.

Hoping to get out tomorrow to take some pics with it :cool:

I usually find the tatty ones are the best. Lin Lam is my local, I really like it. I was amazed to find it's been there for over 50 years!

Never tried Timbo House but I've heard good things about it.

I must admit, I've not noticed any slow down. I don't always shoot 'recipes' or even to JPEG all the time but when I do, a big part of the appeal to me is the quite film-like way of shooting where you shoot to one style and try to take advantage of that. Never feels quite the same when you make those choices afterwards. And to be honest, I find the in camera conversion a bit of clunky process.

I never bother changing the Clarity setting, for exactly that reason :)

So are you saying that you don't use 70% of the recipes ? I'm just trying to understand the logic behind this approach because surely making the adjustments on the RAW in camera would give you more useable options ? I always found the process very quick and easy with the added bonus of not having to mess about in LR. Am I talking myself into another Fuji camera ? :ROFLMAO:
