Best shows on Prime/Netflix?

I've just finished rewatching all 7 series of "The Mentalist". I loved them all, it's funny, but as the cast seemed quite solid, I haven't seen them in anything else. I'm sure Simon Baker must have done other stuff. I saw the guy who plays Rigsby in something else, I think it was before his time in The Mentalist. And Chou could have his own series his carachter was that good.

He was in Scarpetta recently on Prime, playing Nicole Kidman’s husband. I hadn’t realised he’s actually Australian.

Just finished watching the sci-fi series "Better Than Us" on Netflix, and really enjoyed it. It has a slight similarity to "Humans", featuring AI robots, though really focuses on one more advanced robot and the family she adopts, an anti-robot group which the family's son joins, and the corporation attempting to make more models of this robot. Reviews are generally positive with it scoring 7.3 on IMDB (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8285216/). Best watched with the original audio and English subtitles.

Hidden Figures on Disney+, a very good watch.

I binged the whole of Shrinking a month or so ago, on AppleTV. I initially watched it to see how Harrison Ford was in a comedy. Really enjoyed it, and was pleasantly surprised by Harrison Ford.

Lots of highs and lows. Loved Derek. ;)

He's very witty IRL too, seen some very funny interviews with him. He's a master troll :D

I watched 'The last house' - which is on Netflix. it's got some moments but as a whole it's completely skipable. It's your usual 'family trapped in a world ending scenario' - albeit with a slight twist. Predictable, but not un-entertaining, popcorn fodder.

Season 3 is ready and waiting, loved the first two so glad to hear it's good.

I watched the last two series of Slow Horses last week, after maybe steering clear because I didn't want it to drop below the quality of the first threes series, and I shouldn't have hesitated. :headbang: Everyone is great in it, but especially Gary Oldman.

Looking forward to the next series soon. :)

Aye it's a great series and Gary Oldman is brilliant throughout. Great actor.

Just finished "Furious" on D+
Very dark, but excellent imho

Just started watching Falling Skies on NetFlix. It's pretty decent, not quite The Walking Dead level with regard to acting and production values, but better than something like Person of Interest.

I watched Falling Skies years ago when it first came out. Was a good show, I thought. But not sure how it holds up to tech advancements nowadays.

Aye, the more I watch the more I'm feeling like it's falling short (excuse the pun). I think it's a combination of the music, which often sounds cheap quality, cheesy and poorly timed, but also the predictably stupid actions some of them do - it's frustrating. I'll persevere and hope it improves.

I was working through The Expanse previously, but season 5 has become boring.

Persevere, mate. I think it has a great ending.

I watched the first couple of series and thought it had already started to tail off by the end of S2. My wife went on to watch the whole thing and said it was okay but it got more and more ludicrous and predictable as it went on. Noah Wyle is a decent actor and was apparently more or less carrying it by the end…..he’s way better served by the storylines in The Pitt (a tremendous series providing you can stand all the graphic scenes of blood and guts in the medical procedures).

Just got an email from Netflix, price going up from £18.99 to £20.99 per month. It's starting to get expensive and there's not a huge amount of interest on it just now.

Mobland S02 good
