Hi, Leinsweiler/D revisited. 16 years ago I took my M9 I just bought with my Summicron 2/35 from 1989 there. And yesterday I went there again with the same outfit.
Over the years I bought more lenses, and a wider one would have been a better choice. But the things you do on a sentimental journey ... :
(Taking pics of moving cars with an MF lens is not easy. I use f 4, and focus on a detail on the ground - the gully lid in this case - and press the shutter when the car meets my target.)
I snapped up an X Vario with the EVF at a price it would have been silly to ignore, and here's one from my first trip out with it yesterday. First impression is that it's one heck of a great lens, permanently attached to a slightly quirky body that'll take some getting used to. Oh well, I uploaded it to LFI Gallery and it was instantly accepted into their "Europe" selection, so that sort of encourages me to stick with the camera and learn its quirks.
