High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10iv, RX10v, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

Amazed he gets anything in focus looking at the state of the front lens element at 8.03 in the movie. Hopefully they will sort this soon. I will not get one until it is sorted.
I'm going to be charitable and say it's just weird reflections:LOL: I'm going to have 2 soon Alby so if I can get both working I'll let you know ;)

I wish I’d read this sooner, I've just purchased an ex demo from LCE, I wanted something to just walk about with and carry on my bike when cycling over the moor, not something you can do with a 400 2.8, I was debating just getting a Nikon Z 28-400 to go on my Z8 but was drawn to the RX10 hopefully it won’t have this focus issue

Ex Demo RX10 MKV ? MPB have got a lot of Used for sale as well. If you’re not happy with it send it back.

100% will be, it comes tomorrow so will give it a good test as was planning to take it away at the weekend, will go back to plan B if needed.

There are a lot of people on Facebook with faulty units and a lot of information on how to test them - please ask if you need help. There seems to be very few test charts which look right I'm afraid, there may be a degree of self selection there but I am starting to have my doubts (sorry to be negative)

I've recently joined the RX10 club (I say rejoined as I've had them all before!) and got a used but seems excellent condition RX10 IV. At this point, very happy with it, got it while on a a recent trip, along with a V Lux 114 I couldn't turn down. I doubt I'll need to repair anything on it - but for repairs, if needed, do you just go to Sony and pay and so on? Hoping it will be fine, but nice to know I have some cover just in case...!

Hi - I bought through Cotswolds (who have behaved in an exemplary fashion throughout this debacle) and via their 3 year warranty my RX10v is off at AJ Johnstone in Glasgow for repair (although from what I hear of others' experiences they are not likely to be able to do anything  )you could use them if you need to or there are others, eg 'Fixation' you could try. Cheers

Ah thank you very much. Will be interested to hear back how you get on, thanks for sharing that Mike! :)

Well my 'new' Mk4 arrived today... yes I'm back where I started :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

The Mk5 is still out for repair with no prospect of a positive outcome any time soon (literally nobody on the Fb group has had a successful fix  :$:()

I took a shot of the dreaded test chart with the Mk4 - needless to say it's fine...
