According to flickr I haven't pointed my camera at the moon in 10 years. So last night I thought I would give it a go.
To be honest, the results surprised me. Not least because it is the first time I have seen any sort of colour in the moon.

I'm planning my first attempt and have been reading up and watching YouTube videos, but there's one thing I remain a little puzzed about.
Using Star Stax there's the option of including a dark frame. Is is necessary or advisable to process/sync that dark frame as with all other photos taken...

just got a question can the MilkyWay be shot anytime of the year or is it dependant on location (away from light pollution ofc) / country and what time of year ?

So I set out the other night and climbed cleeve hill in Cheltenham to do my first 'astro shoot'... I don't think it was the worst attempt made but something doesn't seem right about them! Any idea how I can improve, as astronomy is something I am very keen on learning about and photographing it...
