Hey peeps i have £150 to spend on some 100mm slot in filters, ive been looking at both the hitech and lee systems, i also want to be able to use my b&w nd110 3.0 10 stop filter with the setup, i just need to know what i need which adapters, holders ect, and hoping £150 will be enough i could maybe stretch a little more if need be..

Thanks andy ......:)

lee foundation kit
lee Wide angle adaptor in your lens filter size - 77mm?
hitech filters ND 100mm ....... GND 150 x 100mm

hiya!

You need the Lee Filter holder ( I bought my 2nd hand) got it for around £25 quid
You will need a Wide Angle Adapter for the Lee Filter holder

Then with your budget, perhaps the Hitech filters, which are pretty good, althought not quite as well built as the Lee Filter, they are optically quite good.

I elected for 0.6 HE, 0.9 HE, 0.6 SE (he = hard edge, se = soft edge) ND grads + a 0.9 NDfilter

I use this combination in conjunction with the B+W 10 stop filter.

Sample of Hitech Filter 0.6 HE ND grad + B+W ND110 + lee filter holder below:
