£200 for a single DVD series first shown in 1999?

Yes
Since I don't have live TV anymore (I told Virgin some years ago what they could do with it), I often trawl through Ebay to see what DVDs are on offer.

But I was staggered to see "Space 1999" Series 2 being bid for at over £40.00!

I remembered watching this when it first was broadcast back in 1975 or so and didn't really think much of it even then, so this price absolutely amazed me, but not so much as the price Amazon was charging for the same set - £200!

I know Amazon's prices can be a little odd at times but am I missing something here because the price on Ebay also seemed insane to me?

Blimey! Now there's a blast from the past!
I doubt that the whole series cost that to make in the mid 70's :D

I remember that Asian girl, she was hot! :D

I'd call it a rave from the grave but what kind of loonie pays those kind of prices for a few DVDs of a series which wasn't all that good even back then?

I've got complete series from Amazon for far less than that (The Tudors and Sherlock Holmes etc) and you can even get used single DVD films for 1p + £1.26p P and P!
.

Who pays £2000 for a Lego set , that's what the millennium falcon makes

eBay is a strange place
