If you have an other half, buy her something and get some goodwill when you next need permission to make an expensive purchase...
lol it's a good idea but I had it a few months ago, taking her on holiday on Tuesday for her birthday (then breaking the news that I want a D40 or D5).

on a serious note mate ..
i have seen you like doing some portraits. so how about a nice new backdrop..
black or motaled grey . you will be able to light your models well with yours flash and the b/g will look good .. always nice to have a bit of variaty.
just a thought.
