Well I just wondered if anyone could share your tips for that moment in portrait shoots when you want everyone to look at you... Obviously there are times when you are shooting very natural, fun portraits and it's not necessary but there are times when you want all eyes on the lens! I normally just shout something like "OK everyone, and look at me, and smile!" but what better ways are there or grabbing everyones attention and eyes simultaneously? It's not a huge problem for me or anything but I do wonder if I'm missing a few tricks?

i am assuming this is for group photos? If I have a bunch that is easily distracted, I fire my flash at them (on low power) a few times to get their attention. Usually they all laugh and get giddy and I press the shutter.
