1.4 or 2x converter for old Nikon 300mm 2.8 AFS?

whats the model and any ideas where to get one. think its the AF-S ive got but not 100%

I haven't found one that fits my 300 af-s Even a modified 1.4 TC II doesn't fit

If it's an AF-S it will say on the plate, if there is no plate have a look at the end of the lens, camera end, you will see X headed screws holding the silver bit on to the mouth of the lens. If there is what looks like a flat headed screw there as well, then it's NOT AF-S.

I've got the 300mm f2.8 ED AF-S DII and that takes the current 1.4 convertor.
