My Canon 1.4x mk2 converter was dropped on concrete about two years ago (by me)
though marked up badly it has continued to work
however it has now packed up giving errors etc
any one ever had a converter repaired and what sort of money are we talking obviously don't want to be paying what I could buy a good 2nd hand one for

Had a locking ring issue with mine sent it into local camera shop ( canon pro dealer ) and they sent it off to canon for repair, got e mail from them saying it was only £80. They will always contact you with a repair cost so its worth just sending it away for a price
 
I repaired mine myself. I just had a couple of solders that had come loose I imagine due to the impact it had.
