After seeing a number of posts of people doing 1 handed shooting I thought I'd give it a go after my daughter found this wonderful spider. If you know ID let me know.

Previous attempts couldn't work out how to setup focus etc... so this time stuck it on 1:1 and tried to keep subject still as much as possible.

Shot with Tamron 90mm and Ring Flash so not my heaviest setup.

Well now you are just showing off ;)

Excellent captures Bryn, number 1 is awesome. Proper nightmare stuff.

Photograph yes, on the hand no way. Great set, well done.

Great technique Bryn I've tried shooting one handed when the insect has been in aan awkward spot and get lots out of focus
The first one especially is excellent

Bryn indeed you are showing off now - what next shooting blindfolded :p

Haha think that is how I shoot anyway. I've got no clue really just a blagger.

Do you mean you're on 'continuous shooting' with 100 shots per second - so just aim roughly, keep your finger down for a few minutes & then sort out 10,000 shots for one in focus
