Say goodbye to grand while your at it. You are right though, if your budget allows and you really need a constant aperture zoom lens then yes. Otherwise a 50 1.4 / 1.8 works well as a low light performer.

A grand? I believe kerso does the canon for about £600, and the nikon can be had for just over 700

What's wrong with imports? Lenses are all international warranties anyway, and the savings are so big it's silly to ignore it

I agree with Matt. The savings are huge and the warranties the same. I recently purchased the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and Canon EF 1.4x II Extender from Kerso and saved over £290 on the best Warehouse Express price!
