Ive just bought a Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens and can't seem to get to grips with it, being manual focus -

I have to ask is there any techniques I should use to ensure clear sharp images front to back

heres one I took yesterday in Torquay, seems a little soft in the distance- shot @ f11

Sorry for what might be a stupid question Les, but why is it manual focus, I've got the same lens on a Nikon and I can autofocus?

Its a Sigma 10-20mm 1:4-5.6 DC and has no switch on to alter Manual to AF unlike my other lenses!!

So can I still use the AF on my camera then- sorry In still learning

Yup, same lens as mine, and I auto focus no problem:thumbs: Mind you my pictures are still carp

I was looking for an AF switch on the 10-20mm didnt realise if I set the camera to AF the lens will then AF

what a plonker I feel now :lol::lol::lol:

should hopefully improve my shots now :p
