Hey everyone.

I've been doing lots of research on the net and been trying to source a Lee Big Stopper 10 stop filter along with a Lee filter holder and wide angle adaptor.

I've sourced the filter holder and wide angle adaptor but getting the Big stopper is proving impossible due to the lack of availability.

So, I decided to have a little look at what other options were around and thought I'd look at the HiTech filters.

At first I was completely sold on waiting for the Lee Big Stopper to become available so thought I'd better wait. Then I realised that the review was for the older HiTech 10 stop filter. So reading on I found a link at the bottom of that review to another review of the new HiTech filter which is this one - http://blog.robertstrachan.com/archives/1314/hitech-pro-stop-review/

Seems the new one is just as good as the Lee Big Stopper.

Thought I'd chuck this up to help anyone else looking as it's gonna save me about £40 and a very long wait for the filter.

Can't wait to get them and try them out now :).
 
There's also a review of the hitech one in the review forum on here if you fancy some more reading ;)

I quite fancy one myself, but waiting for my Lee starter kit to arrive first.

Thats the same review that I posted above.

Just ordered my Filter holder and adaptor ring so should be with me in a few days :).
 
Ive just ordered a 10 stop PROSTOP too, along with a 100mm holder and ND soft grad kit. £200, but a damn sight cheaper than a LEE set up and without the wait!

The £200 part was the kick in the teeth for me but I think it will be worth it. I went for the Lee holder still though :)
