100% Preview on 30D

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to limit the view on my 30D to 100% zoom as I am sure the maximum zoom is way past 100%.

If not, is it possible to display the zoom level in some way?

Ive always wondered which point is 100%. I think it goes up to 200% IIRC. Not sure in what steps though
 
Yes, I mean the screen display, probably didn't word it too well.

After some searching DP Review has the answer.

Apparently if you zoom in as far as possible, thats approx 160% zoom. If you than zoom out 3 steps its 100% image size precisely.

Useful to know for checking images at 100% crop.
 
You're looking at a reduced quality JPEG preview though on the display though aren't you?
 
Yeah thats true, I shoot in raw nowadays so the preview is a jpeg translation of that. But still, without knowing where the 100% point is it's impossible to get any indication of image sharpness.
 
Is it the same on the 5D?

I think the 5 and the 30 both shared the same 2.5" screen while the 40 and 50 and 5dmkII both had the 3.0"
