Can anyone suggest a (more than) decent 105mm CPL filter? My others are Hoya HD but they don't seem to do the 105mm.
 
Have you looked at the Lee system? It isn't cheap but using adapters it should meet current and future needs.
 
I had, but I'm too far in with individual filters to change tack now. If I'd known then, what I know now...
 
They're not cheap, are they?!

I'm finding two versions of the Sigma, one with 'WR' in the description. Can anyone enlighten me as to the difference?
 
I wondered if it was that as the description mentioned water and oil repellent. I just thought it was too easy!
 
When I needed a 105 polariser, I just bought a new b&w linear one off eBay for 70 quid. Works absolutely fine in spite of many people warning that the AF and metering could be effected.
 
Is the 'SH-PMC' option on the Heliopan worth having?

And does the 'high transmission' option make a significant difference in terms of stops?

It's for use on a Sigma 150-600 Sport.

The sigma isn't the slimmest filter so if you ever plan to use it with a lee setup and want a wide lens it might be worth considering one of the more slimline versions from manufacturers like heliopan or b+w. I used to own the sigma but got a great deal on a b+w on eBay. The sigma was great quality btw. Just something to bear in mind
 
Thanks. I may go with one of the Heliopans.

As in #12, I'm trying to decide on 'SH-PMC' (or not) and 'high transmission' (or not). Just to complicate things further (!), I'm not sure whether or not the Sigma's lens cap will clip onto the slim version of the filter: different reviews seem to say different things.
 
It's still on its way, but everything I've seen refers to 'filter size 105mm'.
