10th September - mountain bike world Cup, Fort William

Would love to join you for that but its just too far ;)

Not really expecting a huge uptake Steve, just thought I'd let folk know in case ;)

Has anyone done any of this sort of stuff? I'm thinking it should be a great opportunity for slow-synch and second curtain style shots but I'm not sure about the settings yet.

Would also love to, but unfortunately it's too far for me too :(

I'll be working I think but might it possibly be down that way...

hey guys, my first real post here, but this caught my eye straight away.

a few of my mates built the four cross track for this world cup so will be up there enjoying it! i dont think i can make it all the way from cardiff unfortunately.

i ve done a fair bit of this in past as ive been riding for years and slow sync stuff is great fun, and so are sequences and the usual high speed action shots. i cant afford a decent flash for my digi yet so ive not got any examples of that but i could put up a nice sequence i shot the other day if anyone's interested.

one thing i would say is a nice wide angle really helps with this stuff, i used to use a 19mm on film and found it perfect.
