I just saw today a retailer having it on sale for £879. I will assume that that price is only that high because it is very new hard to find and eagerly anticipated lens. If it stays that way I consider it too high compared to premium grade APS and even FF offerings. Given that you can buy Pentax 16-50 2.8 for 600 and 24-70 Nikkor for 1k I think the 879 is about a £200 too high. Especially given that 2.8 on M43 is not quite the same as 2.8 on APS let alone FF.

So has anyone got one and got any pics/impressions to share?

If you're talking about exposure f2.8 on MTF is the same as APS-C and FF. The only way in which f2.8 is different on MFT is if you're talking about equivalent DoF and then you have to take into account focal lengths and crop factors.

Yes I was talking about DOF. Given the size of the sensor you would have expected them to either make it cheaper than a 2.8 on APS or make it faster as in something like a 2.0 . So I am hoping the price will go a bit down to something around the price of my 16-50 Pentax . Am considering a OM-D + a couple of primes + a fast normal zoom but not for 900£ for the lens alone.
