I'm thinking about getting a Canon 15mm fisheye at some point. Just wondering what any owners think about it and also if there are any samples of lightroom 3 rectilinear conversions as it would be useful as an ultra wide too if the quality was good.
Cheers

you'll see very little 'fishy'ness on a 1.6x body i'm afraid Andy. Although sometimes that can suit some people but that's down to your preference - up until last week you were limited to Sigma and Tokina for a Diagonal Fisheye with AF on a 1.6x crop. However Canon's new Fisheye L is £1500

Cheers!

aye,
not much point if you dont hav a FF.
the optical quality(contrast, sharpness, etc.) is good.
i would suggest trying it out 1st.

I should have mentioned I am trying to get hold of a used 5D and the lens will be purchased later on. I just like lining up my buys in advance.

I haven't got the Canon fisheye any more, but it was sharp at just about any setting. Just watch out for getting your feet into the frame.
