1600 x 1600 Resolution

Was thinking of buying Photoshop touch,

Have read that it limits is resolution to 1600 x 1600.

How limiting is this when it comes to printing? What would be the max size if was to print to keep a good quality?

I sent an image to Sim2000imaging that was 1372x1372 and they managed to print a 30x30cm canvas wrap successfully, if that helps :)

Sorry, I'm not really an ipad/tablet person but isn't the 1600x1600 a display limit rather than a file size limit? In which case how does that limit the print size?

It would be extremely limiting. At 300dpi that would be around 14cm square.

I think you can get away with more on canvas as it naturally pixelates due to the weave (if that is the right word) so blocky pictures don't necessarily look too out of place.
 
I have noticed that they have increased the resoultion to 2048 * 2048 now, due to extra resoultion the ipad 3 screen offers.

Anyway paid the £7 for the software it hardly going to break the bank.

Had a little play with Photoshop touch last night and probably going to be a steep learning curve but lessons where pretty good.
 
i print 30 x 20 prints off my 12mp and sell them and look sharp with no complaints
