17-40L for Studio?

Hi,

I am finding the 50mm 1.8 is n0t wide enough on the 1000d Crop was thinking of going for a 35mm f2 then thought of the 17-40mm L.

how will the image quaility and Sharpness be on the 17-40 compared to the 50&35mm?

I have the 50mm 1.4 and the 17-40mm and would be happy to use either as I find the 17-40mm very sharp indeed on my 40d.

Hey thanks for the advice... Hope its not gone.

Also looking to use as an upgrade from my kit lens for my cruise in a few months.
