18-135 canon lens

Hi All,

Hope there's someone who can help.

Whilst on holiday with my 18-135 I found the lens, (when carrying - whilst pointing down) extended from 18 to 135 and was fully extended.
Is this normal for the lens to extend so easily?

Not familiar with that lens specifically, but yes, it is called "lens creep" or "zoom creep" and is quite common.

Some lenses creep without even being moved about, basically when just pointed vertically.

Hi, yes this is normal if it doesn't have a lock on it my 55-250 does the same!! I think u can by some sort of rubber band to stop this but I'm not sure!!
