As the Title says...
Looking for a Travel lens where I dont need to frequently change them...
What might be better to get in these cases?
18-200 or 18-270 tamron (the b003 or B008)
18-250 Sigma (The old vs new)
or the Nikon 18-200...?

Which would give better images without a tripod?
Does using a tamron or sigma lose noticeable sharpness than Nikon?

How do these lenses work with D5100?

Guys with these combination, request to shed some light on these?

I can't comment about the non Nikon lenses as I have the Nikon 18-200VRII and its a great lens on my sons D5100 as well as my D300s. It's very convenient.. However, remember, it will not be the sharpest compared to let's say a prime or pro lenses but I have had this for 3 years and keep coming back to this when I only can carry one lens..

The Tamron 18-270 PZD is getting some great reviews and I've seen some of the pics taken with one on a friends 50D and they are pretty damn good. I used to have the Tamron 28-300 VC and I found the IQ of that was good on a 550D and 7D. I sold it when I got a longer tele for aviation shots but I would like to try another on my 5D3. It did hunt a bit when it got dull but that's fairly usual for a lens of that speed. It would make a great all round 'one lens' solution, but just remember that any superzoom will be softer than using 2 lenses with less magnification.
