18-55mm or 18-135mm

The 70D comes with both, and the reviews show the STM lens is virtually silent when autofocussing in video mode.

How do I know which to go for?

The plan would be to get something like the 15-85mm IS USM lens next year.

Most of the reviews that I see of the 18-135 STM are quite favourable and some even say better than the 15-85 anyway. Obviously the 15-85 is wider but personally I'd probably just get the 18-135mm and if you want wide, get the Canon EF-S 10-22 or the Tokina wide lens.
