So it's time to upgrade the laptop with the new i7 quad cores becoming available. I'm down to two options:
Acer 5750 with 1366x768 TN screen
Dell XPS15 with 1920x1080 R+BGLED screen
Cost difference is a cool £330 so I'm liking the Acer at the moment
The question is: is 1920x1080 too high a resolution on a 15" screen and I'll need to have the text larger so negating the higher natural dpi and extra screen estate?
Use is occasional photo editing except it will see quite a bit of editing when we're in the US of A in August and a general purpose surfing laptop for Ms arad85
No point in suggesting a mac, or move to a 17" screen... we WANT a 15" screen (already have a 17" one here
