Ive been using them for a while now and for some reason if I goto my control panel and the domains I have one domain and a subdomain each with a strange destination. For example webspace/wbsg27828264

When I ftp my website ive always had to add files into the wbsg27828264 folder and not into the root.

how would I go about changing this so that when I goto www.richardgrebby.co.uk it doesnt load up wbsg27828264 and does a different folder as the destination button is greyed out.

I think the strange folder name is the location of your webspace on the 1and1 servers. I have a similarly odd root for the domain.

If you go into the control panel and click on domains then the domain name. What does it say for "root" and also under "destination". You can click on 'edit' above the destination to change it to another folder (or the root). Make sure you upload the site to the new folder first and update any links etc.

The website is working ok so I would be tempted to leave it as is or is there a particular problem you're experiencing?

Ahh I think I figured it. For some reason when I first got 1&1 I made a website using their site builder which meant I couldnt change where the root was directed to.

Im moving over to a new website soon and want the transition to be without any downtime thats all.
