Hi, my first post after some lurking.
I am using 1and1 and have been sort of reasonably happy with them, but I wonder how others would rate them and the product.

Also, what other amateur pick and click website building package might be better instead.
 
use 1and 1 for hosting and domain buying and am very happy with them but use photium for web site and i am really happy with them
 
Bought domains from them and use them for my Email for years now. Yes i could probably get the same sort of service cheaper elsewhere, but i've never had any issues so am happy to pay for the service.
